BLUE RIDGE BANTAMS

Welcome to the Blue Ridge JFL 2009 Season -- Blue Ridge Knights!!

Austin is on the Bantams (3rd-4th graders) this year and boy, is he excited!!! He will be playing Wide Reciever on the Offense and Safety on the Defense. I will post pics of practices, games and just fooling around on this page.

You can also visit the JFL site at BLUE RIDGE JFL for team roster and info on Blue Ridge Flag teams, JV team (5th & 6th Graders) and the Varsity team (7th & 8th graders)!

Austin works hard with practices Mon-Thur from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The season opens with HOI Conference Jamboree on August 22 and August 23, 2008, where teams from all over Central Illinois come to play. Austin's team (Bantams) play August 23rd with short 30 minute games. The Jamboree Schedule is as follows: 2 p -- Field 1 -- ElPaso Gridley, 3:30 pm -- Field 1 --Ridgeview, 4:30 p.m. -- Field 2 -- Lexington, 5:30 p.m. -- Field 2 -- Heyworth Red.

September 5 -- 1:00 pm -- Blue Ridge v Fieldcrest Silver @ HOME

September 12 -- 1:00 pm -- Blue Ridge v Fieldcrest Blue @ FIELDCREST

September 19 -- 1:00 pm -- BYE WEEK

September 25 -- Blue RIdge HS Homecoming arade at 2:15 p.m. & Game at 7pm

September 26 -- 1:00 pm -- Blue Ridge v Heyworth White @ HOME

October 3 -- 1:00 pm -- Blue Ridge v RT. 150 East @ LEROY

October 10 -- 1:00 pm -- Blue Ridge v RT 150 West @ HOME

October 17 -- Oppoents & Times TBA -- Blue Ridge @ FIELDCREST

Now a quick shout out to the Bantam Head Coach -- Keith Lyle and his very talented Assist. Coaches -- Lance Clark, Thad Gilman, Wade Lagle, Kurt Bozarth and Trent Gilbert (if I missed anyone.. SORRY!!!) Sometimes, I think these guys like this more than the kids do!!!

BIG CHANGES!!

As of March 1, 2010 -- Cherokee Flats has it Poultry & Rabbit Raisers Exemption from the Illinois Dept of Ag in springfield IL. We can now sell rabbits and chicken meat (already processed, packaged and frozen) to the public. We are also able to deliver it if we are heading your way. We will have more rabbit meat available the end of April 2010, June 2010, August 2010, October 2010, December 2010 and Chicken available August 2010.

Eggs will be available all year providing chickens cooperate with the weather :) Eggs MUST be picked up here at the farm. Fresh, Free-Range Brown eggs are available for $3.50/doz. Bring your own carton and get them for $3/doz!! Call for availability.
