Quality Black & Blue Dutch

This nice looking herd belongs to our 9 year old son, Austin. He had to start his herd over after a great loss in December 2006. We now have 4 wonderful rabbits from quality lines including: Schwandt, Kortbein, Hart, Craig, Hooper. A big thanks to Dan & Theresa Schwandt for helping Austin get his herd back on track. He is very excited to be breeding for Dutch Nationals in April 2008 to be held in Bloomington, IL. We have a couple of good looking kits now!!

A little bit about the DT herd:

Like with all the rabbits in the barn, our Dutch are extremely friendly and love getting attention. I swear that our Blue Buck thinks he's a dog!! All are handled daily to keep them comfortable with us and enjoy being spoiled. Make sure you come by and say "Hi" to our Blue Buck, Squirt!! He's one friendly bun!!

Austin has worked hard at finding the perfect rabbits to be part of his herd. Recently, we added 2 nice does to the herd that were purchased at NDS. A nice Black Sr Doe from Dan & Theresa Schwandt and a nice Blue Sr Doe from Andrew Craig!! We are very happy to have them in our barn.

Austin won NDS Lord Runner-Up for the 2008 NDS held in Bloomington, IL. Congratulations!!!

BIG CHANGES!!

As of March 1, 2010 -- Cherokee Flats has it Poultry & Rabbit Raisers Exemption from the Illinois Dept of Ag in springfield IL. We can now sell rabbits and chicken meat (already processed, packaged and frozen) to the public. We are also able to deliver it if we are heading your way. We will have more rabbit meat available the end of April 2010, June 2010, August 2010, October 2010, December 2010 and Chicken available August 2010.

Eggs will be available all year providing chickens cooperate with the weather :) Eggs MUST be picked up here at the farm. Fresh, Free-Range Brown eggs are available for $3.50/doz. Bring your own carton and get them for $3/doz!! Call for availability.
