For Show and Breeding Stock Rabbit Sales

Availability of breeding and show stock
Please Email us at codysrabbitcave@verizon.net if you are interested in any of the show or breeding stock we have available listed on this website, or if you are searching for a particular rabbit. We may not have some of our younger sale rabbits listed on our sale pages - so contact us if you don't see what you want!

Qualified Buyers
We care for our animals' welfare and because of this we reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone, at any time especially if we have concerns over how another will care for our stock.

Hold policy
We will hold stock for 2 weeks with a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the purchase price - if you indicate that you want our stock, deposit/reservation fees MUST be received within 7 days of letting us know you want one of our rabbits.Otherwise, the rabbit(s) or kit (s) will be put up as available for sale again and you will receive ONE email or IM stating that. Please make the necessary arrangements to pick up and pay for your purchases right away. Email us at codysrabbitcave@verizon.net or call 309-530-4206 to make other suitable arrangements. If WE terminate the sale 100% of your deposit will be returned. If YOU terminate the sale, none of the deposit will be returned.

Prices and payment
Each animal is priced individually and is based upon our appraisal of its quality. This price can change either up or down as the animal developes. Full cash or Money Order payment is required before any rabbit is considered sold. Personal checks are no longer accepted (please don’t ask)

Quality
The animals we list on our show and breeding stock for sale pages have qualities that may be useful to someone's breeding or showing program. Pet-quality animals maybe listed here as well. Please note our description. All sale animals will be honestly represented and any known faults or DQ's pointed out. Despite this policy, we cannot guarantee your success at showing or breeding any sale animal!

Pedigrees
All our show and breeding stock rabbits are fully pedigreed and you will receive pedigree(s) when sale is finalized usually at pick-up or delivery.

Delivery of sale animal
Our rabbitry is located in East Central Illinois and sales can be done at our rabbitry. You must make an appointment to meet with us. Currently shipping is not available, but we can bring rabbits to any of the Illinois or Indiana area shows we attend.. Visit our show schedule to see which shows we plan to be at!

Refunds/exchanges
All sales of show/breeding stock are final-I am sorry but I don't offer refunds or exchanges! Please thoroughly inspect the sale animal before you purchase it! If you are purchasing from our online pictures - feel free to make an appointment to see the sale animal before you purchase it! If you are a new or inexperienced breeder, we encourage you to get additional opinions on the sale animal, before you buy!

4-H and FFA Animals
We like to promote youth programs and usually offer quality animals for sale to 4-H and FFA members at a discounted price. If you are part of a 4-H or FFA youth club and would like a discount, please come prepared to prove you are a current member. Because we have been 'in beginner's shoes' ourselves - we are aware of some of the difficulties trying to find quality, showable 4-H animals at an affordable price - you can count on us for honest help in choosing your future project animals.

As of June 14, 2010 -- Cherokee Flats will no long raise Polish, Mini Satin or Dutch. We are selling out on all of those rabbits. Email us for pricing and availability. We still have a few left!! First come first serve.

We are looking at focusing on the Mini Lop as a main breed and I (Crystal) will dabble in the Netherland Dwarfs still. I will have a couple litters a year of the NDs so check for litters. We will also still have the Californians for meat pens.

As of March 1, 2010 -- Cherokee Flats has it Poultry & Rabbit Raisers Exemption from the Illinois Dept of Ag in springfield IL. We can now sell rabbits and chicken meat (already processed, packaged and frozen) to the public. We are also able to deliver it if we are heading your way. We will have more rabbit meat available the end of April 2010, June 2010, August 2010, October 2010, December 2010 and Chicken available August 2010.

Eggs will be available all year providing chickens cooperate with the weather Eggs MUST be picked up here at the farm. Fresh, Free-Range Brown eggs are available for $3.50/doz. Bring your own carton and get them for $3/doz!! Call for availability.

There are several shows coming up in 2010. While we are planning on attending as many as possible, there will be a few that wont be possible. Here's a list of those we plan on attending. More will be added as info is available.
